The first Birth Pangs book, Fidelis, was released twenty years ago. Shortly afterwards, a RPG was built as both entertainment and to promote the book. 
With book three, Caritas, finally being released, it seemed good to revisit the RPG idea.
Behold, a new and improved post-apocalyptic world has been created for you to explore and enjoy!
This is a text-based game intended to unfold over time and be played indefinitely. It starts out slow and then as your resources (and armies) grow, combat and trade enable you to do even more: Conquer cities, take territory, build armies, collect tolls, ambush enemies, and of course team up with like-minded players.
This is an ‘RPG’ set in the Birth Pangs world. That means every now and then, characters from the series make an appearance and sometimes cause trouble!
To get started, you need to register for an account, verify your email address, and then login. (Check your spam filter!) You will be prompted to create a game name and a city name. This is your initial city.
When you first start, you will enjoy ‘newbie protection’ (with complimentary Premium+ Access). However, you will be hard to reach in any case, since there will be no cities to–or from–your new city. Eventually you actually need to build the roads that are needed to help you connect to the other cities in the Birth Pangs Worlds. But beware: doing so makes it possible for adversaries to reach you, as well! (Roads may be built automatically by the game after a certain amount of time, so do not rest on your laurels too much!)
